The Training Grounds At Colonial Williamsburg

The primitive movement in home decor is hot right now. People are longing for a simpler time, which is understandable in a world which seems to spinning ever faster out of control. The primitive art of the colonial era is showing up on people's walls - paintings where the perspective seems just a bit off, where people might be a bit too tall in relationship to the buildings, and trees are scattered as though the artist just couldn't be bothered to paint them.

This image puts me in mind of those, and I can't say just why or how I managed to do it. If I knew, I'd likely do it again. It might be the wide open spaces of the training grounds at Colonial Williamsburg, or it could be the outlines and brick of the architecture. At any rate, in my humble opinion it will bring a bit of the colonial era to your den or study.
